Kool-Aid, anyone?

Having not been aware of Obama while he was in Congress, I have to refer to clips of him and his votes and stated positions at that time, but I do remember his promises and views when campaigning.
He brings to my mind other well-known men such as Warren Jeffs, David Koresh and Jim Jones. So many people in this country were sucked in by all of them.
But even if we didn’t all drink the Kool-Aid we are all still affected by it. A song by Kris Kristofferson comes to mind about “The Silver Tongued Devil.”

Commissioners should try to keep patio on building
I believe that an outdoor patio at the new South Campus building, which was recently cut from the county project, would not only benefit seniors during meal service during warmer weather, but also county employees and guests for socialization.

I just read the letters to the editor in the March 16 paper, and felt I must add my voice.
Atheist writer's argument doubted
Having read Mr. Wackrow’s letter of May 11 several times, I have to think even rational atheists would not agree with him. Maybe one could think that the Supreme Court’s decision on invocations could be endorsing Christianity, but on the other hand one could just as well see it as a decision that it just does not violate the Constitution, period.
