A 20-year-old woman died after falling through a skylight at Columbia Falls High School over the weekend.
Authorities said in a press release that the woman, along with two others, got onto the roof of the high school’s gymnasium in the early morning hours of July 31. She was mortally wounded after plunging to the gymnasium floor below the skylight, officials said.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, succumbed to her injuries as officers with the Columbia Falls Police Department gave her first aid. Officers initially responded to the high school for a report of a medical emergency about 2:25 a.m.
Why the trio ascended to the roof remains unknown, officials said.
