SANDPOINT — As Litehouse Foods approaches its 63rd anniversary — and 20 years as an employee‑owned company — the organization is honoring both its past and its future with a new name and united focus of brands under the company's umbrella.

The Sandpoint-based company announced the new name in a Thursday's press release, saying the move allows Litehouse Foods to support future growth, honor its legacy and unite a diverse portfolio of brands together.

The name change from Litehouse Inc. acknowledges the company's evolution, Litehouse Foods officials said. What began as a regional manufacturer has become a multi‑brand, multi‑channel company with products ranging from salad dressings and sauces to condiments, cheese, dips, and specialty items.

“We’re a company that continues to evolve with our consumers, customers, suppliers, and our employee owners, and we are a different company than we were just a few years ago," Litehouse CEO Kelly Prior said. “This evolution brings clarity to who we’ve become and the future we are creating together."

Prior said the new corporate identity and refreshed purpose are grounded in the same values that have always guided Litehouse Foods, but expressed in a way that is more relevant and more reflective of its employee owners.

"This isn’t about changing who we are — it’s about clearly articulating who we’ve become, so our teams, our partners, and our consumers can feel it in everything we do,” Prior said.

Those values — heart, ownership, excellence, and integrity — guide the company. From decisions, product development and relationships, those principles guide the company and are at the heart of what Litehouse Foods is, company officials said.

“This evolution is more than a refreshed look; it’s about restating our commitment to quality and the principles that have always set Litehouse apart, while clearly defining our purpose, mission, vision, and values,” said Brad Horn, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Litehouse Foods. “With this clarity, we’re aligned with who we are, where we’re going, and how we show up every day — continuing to deliver great food to our customers, just as we have for generations.”

Litehouse Foods has plants in Sandpoint, Hurricane, Utah, Lowell, Michigan, and Danville, Virginia. Its portfolio includes Organicville, Veggiecraft, Sky Valley, and partnered licensed brands such as Flavortown and Zaxby’s.

Litehouse Foods officials said the company has begun the transition to its new corporate identity effective immediately. All company plant locations will remain operational and fully staffed. Customer service, sales, and technical support teams will continue without interruption and existing product SKUs, supplier relationships, and supply‑chain commitments remain in effect.

The company is also publishing a comprehensive brand narrative on its website at Litehouse-Foods.com for stakeholders interested in learning more about its heritage, values, and vision.
