Suspected kidnapper arrested

A man who allegedly kidnapped a co-worker from her home and threatened to kill two other employees at the UPS office in Kalispell was arrested Wednesday.

Dennis Jeffrey Poncelet 'was carried home by the angels' Friday, June 16, 2006, after a tragic electrical accident. Dennis was born June 30, 1969, and attended school in Whitefish and received a GED. He was going on to acquire his nurse's aide certification. He spent the last eight years of his life working as a concrete finisher and form fitter for Arrow Concrete Co., and was so proud of his accomplishments there.

Bald man alarms women at Lone Pine

Flathead County Sheriff's Office was called to Lone Pine State Park Tuesday morning when a woman said a bald man in a sweat shirt made her uncomfortable by circling around behind her on the trail. Two other women told a deputy that the man had made them uneasy, also. He was found engaging in some solo martial arts moves and was arrested for drug possession. He was temporarily relieved of a giant sword he had with him.

A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff's Office after a flannel-shirted man kept walking by her house on U.S. 2 in Hungry Horse on Wednesday night. The next time he went by, she was getting her 9-mm handgun and shooting him, she said. A dispatcher warned her that that might be hasty. A deputy found the man, who said he is staying at a nearby motel and likes to take nightly walks.
