RONAN - A brief shower early in the morning served to cool the courts, but not the action at Saturday's Ronan Pioneer Days 3-on-3 Jamboree basketball tournament.
A total of 77 teams, the most ever for the event, competed on the makeshift courts erected for the day on 2nd Avenue SW. Teams competed in 14 categories, plus slam dunk, free throw and 3-point contests.
"The dunk contest was awesome. It was the best I've ever seen at the 6-foot level," tournament organizer Steve Woll said.
