WEST GLACIER, Mont. — The 24th annual Hookers and Hackers Memorial Weekend Golf Tournament at Glacier View Golf Club, put on every Spring by Swede and Marnice Foote of Laclede, had 131 participants last weekend.

The high light of the annual competition this year was 80-year-old Bill Jones Sr. hitting a hole-in-one on the 8th hole from 144 yards out with a Callaway Big Bertha driver and a titleist golf ball.

He was paired with the Pro John Kelley of Glacier View and Sandpoint resident Diane Knight.

Most of the 131 golfers participating were from the Sandpoint, Priest River, Newport and Bonner County area. Some came as far away as Catalina Island, Calif. for the tournament.
