Glade J. Pierce passed away Nov. 17, 2003.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the Elks Lodge, 2605 N. Robie Ct., in Spokane Valley.

Glade was a member of the Elks, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, El Katif Shrine, Legion of Honor and the Moonshriners.

He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne in World War II.

Glade was an engineer with Burlington Northern Railroad with 50 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 56 years; two sons, Jerry and his wife, Teri, and Tom, all of Sandpoint; and six grandchildren.
