David Benjamin Jackson, 67, "went home to be with the Lord" on Sept. 15, 2004.

He was born April 20, 1937.

David was preceded in death by a son, Terry David; a daughter, Rosemary; his parents and grandparents; his three brothers, Daniel, John and Steven; a sister, Delores; and two grandsons, Mathew and Jason.

David is survived by former wife, Lois Jackson; and eight children, Terry, Kelly, David, Michael, Maybell, Sherry, Susan and Rose; also his life partner, Denise Jackson; and his stepdaughter, Jessica.

David has four sisters who survive him, Della, Rachel, Blanch and Alice; two brothers, James and Thomas; one uncle, Bill Dempsey and wife, Loraine; two aunts, Joann Dempsey and Rosey Dempsey. David also has 17 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

"David enjoyed the simple things in life and joked and made us all laugh a lot. He had a love of fishing and hunting, and camping in the woods.

We will miss him terribly."
