Kalispell finished in sixth place at the 21st annual Sapa-Johnsrud Memorial Tournament on Saturday, losing 8-0 to the Clackamas, Ore., Outlaws.

The Lakers finished the five-day tournament with a 3-3 record.

"We're a little tired right now," said Lakers coach Mike McFarland.

"Eleven straight days of baseball; 15 games in 11 days."

As a result, McFarland said his players had some letdowns.

"Thats fine," he said.

"We'll take tomorrow off, practice Monday and then have a couple of important conference games coming up. Lethbridge on Tuesday (at home), then take a couple days off again, rest some arms. We have a few injuries from this tournament."

Kalispell could muster just four hits against Clackamas and were guilty of six errors.

The Outlaws jumped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and never looked back.

"We just made a lot of errors today," said McFarland.

"Obviously the results will not be good when you have more errors than hits."

Only eight teams were in action on the final day of tournament play. The tournament field consisted of 12 teams.

In the battle for seventh place, Lethbridge, Alberta, downed Redmond, Ore., 7-2.

For third and fourth place, Apple Valley, Wash., defeated Chino, Calif., 4-3.

In the title game, it was Spokane 11, Billings 2.

The hosting Glacier Twins did not play in Saturday's championship round.
