Dorothy Ann Stancill, 83, of Glendale, Ariz., passed away July 1, 2005. She was born Nov. 21, 1921, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Allyn and Lucille Monk. She graduated from Flathead County High School in 1939.
Dorothy moved to Arizona in 1960 from Montana and worked for Malcolm's Department Store for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Paul B. Stancill; and her brother, John Monk.
Survivors include her sons, Douglas Allyn and Patricia Stancill of Peoria, Ariz., and Paul Mark and Faye Stancill of Phoenix; sisters, Mary Lavin of Somers, and Jeanne Linrude of Kalispell; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
A memorial service was held at the First United Methodist Church in Glendale on July 7.
Dorothy was a kind, generous and loving person who will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
Arrangements were entrusted to Menke Funeral Home.
