Daisy May Lang, 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday March 5, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Home, where she had been a resident for the past four years. She was born on Oct, 21, 1923, in Monfort, Wis., to Fred and Nona (France) Bowden.

Daisy was the eldest of seven children raised on the family's dairy farm in Monfort. When Daisy had graduated from high school she traveled to Miles City to visit her aunt and uncle. There she met Albert Lang, and they were married on March 4, 1942. They ranched there until 1952, when they moved to Kalispell.

Over the years Daisy worked as a clerk for Woolworth's, Montgomery Ward, Torbert's and Harmon's. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, and taking care of her grandchildren. Her favorite flowers were daisies. She was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Daisy served on the Evangelism Team when it first started and was a member of the Thimble Club. She was also a member of the Mountain View Birthday Club.

While Daisy lived at Immanuel Lutheran Home, she loved to sing and entertain the other residents and the nursing staff. The staff grew to love her and she them. They were a very important part of her daily life and care and had become her extended family.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1989, her mother and father, brothers John and Sonny, and her sister Ruth.

She is survived by her son, David and daughter-in-law Lana; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren: Scott Lang and his wife Tammy of Butte, Travis Lang, Melissa Lindrude and her husband Kevin and their children, Allix, Taylor, Carsen and Rylie, Mark Lang and his wife Amber and their children, Aaron and Logan, all of Kalispell; two sisters, Evelyn and Ethel, and one brother, Joe, all of Dubuque, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday March 8, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dan Wurster and Jerry Schreck officiating.

Burial will be held one hour prior to memorial services at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery on Whitefish Stage Road. Visitation will be held on Monday March 7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Johnson Mortuary Chapel.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the Bratsberg Wing of Immanuel Lutheran Home, 185 Crestline Avenue Kalispell, MT 59901 or Hospice Home Health Options, 175 Commons Loop, Ste. 100 Kalispell, MT 59901 or to Trinity Lutheran Church or School, 400 W. California Street Kalispell, MT 59901. Johnson Mortuary and Crematory is caring for Daisy's family.
