Evelyn C. Twet, 86, passed away on Feb. 22, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell.

Evelyn was born on Nov. 24, 1918, in Plentywood, to Jim and Tillie Olson Vincent. She was raised in Comertown, and graduated from Comertown High School.

She attended a college of nursing in Mankato, Minn. Evelyn married Omer Twet on Dec. 2, 1941, in Seattle. She worked as registered nurse in Minot, N.D., Seattle, Fort Smith, Ark., and Billings.

Evelyn was a longtime member at the Central Christian Church. She truly enjoyed the services and the many friends that she had met there. Evelyn spoke fondly of the many church tours she had gone on.

She loved working around her house, and especially in her flower garden. She was an avid painter, and her many pictures will be shared by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Evelyn and her husband were members of the local Old Car Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Omer Twet; two brothers, Roy and Arthur Vincent; and just a few days after Evelyn passed away, her brother, Elmer Vincent, died; three sisters, Jo Gates, Irene Otten and Mae Rose.

She is survived by a son, Steven Twet, and his wife, Diana; one daughter, Lois, and her husband, Fred Savard; one sister, Anne Seltvedt, of Harvey, N.D.; grandchildren, Brian Twet, Scott Twet, Kris Dennett and Brandon Tribble; great-grandchildren, Kristin Twet, Tana Twet, Samantha Twet, Jacob Twet, Jenell Twet, Aubrey Tribble and Desmond Tribble; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today, Saturday, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Ramseth officiating. Urn burial will take place at Glacier Memorial Gardens next week.

Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
