Carolyn Esther McConville, 73

Carolyn Esther McConville, 73, a longtime Whitefish resident, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell of natural causes.

Carolyn was born in Fairview, on June 30, 1931, to Harold and Grace Stinger. She was one of eight daughters and a son.

Carolyn spent the majority of her life in Whitefish and was employed for many years in restaurant and bartending professions. She was best known for lemon meringue pies and several other dishes.

She was actively involved with the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary; a member of the Women of the Moose; and the Eagles Women's Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dale Stinger; a sister, Doris LaVoy; and her husband, Floyd George McConville.

She is survived by her dear partner and friend of many years, Wayne Pennecard of Whitefish; four sons and their wives, Rick and Laurie McConville in Anchorage, Alaska, Steve and Caroline McConville in Great Falls, Matt and Janet McConville in Columbia Falls, and George and Michelle McConville in Las Vegas. Also by six sisters, Ella and Chet Hill, Joann Brousseau, MaDonna and Dale Barber, Marcia and Jim Hunnewell, Cheryl and Jim Rounds, and Carla and Bob Corbally; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 30, at the Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday,May 31, at the funeral home with Rev. David V. Kauffman, officiating. Burial will follow at the Glacier Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kalispell.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to any of the three organizations in which Carolyn was involved.
