Moses Lake shut out the Lady Panthers 3-0

MOSES LAKE — Two teams walked into Lake Bowl Thursday unbeaten. After the match-up was over, the Lady Chiefs remained undefeated.

"Wenatchee is probably the toughest team in the league," said Moses Lake head coach Billy Brice before the match. "It's going to be a shoot out. Hopefully the girls show up and bowl."

Bowl they did.

In the first game, Moses Lake took a commanding lead and never looked back.

Susan Krcma bowled strike after strike to lead her team with a 214 game. She was followed closely by Emily Ozolins who bowled a 202.

The Lady Chiefs defeated Wenatchee 881-756.

"The girls bowled really well," said Brice.

The second game of the match was tight, with Moses Lake winning by a mere two pins, but it was enough.

Michelle Reynolds shot a 198 to the lead the team. Krcma was in with the leaders again, bowling a 160.

Dawne Drummond sealed the win for Moses Lake, shooting a spare and a strike at the end of the game.

With the Lady Chiefs up 2-0 on Wenatchee, they went into the third game and held off Wenatchee, winning by just five pins, 167-162.

Again, Drummond came through for her team with a strike and a spare to end the match.

"I'd like to mention a sophomore, Sandy Smith, she came up for this match and shot two 150 games," said Brice. "I believe that won the game for us."
