Othello grocery store robbed at gunpoint

OTHELLO — No arrests have been made following an armed robbery at the Leprekon grocery store in Othello Wednesday.

The robbery happened at about 10:30 p.m. at the business, located at 1115 E. Main St. Store employees reported that two armed men, brandishing hand guns and wearing ski masks and dark clothing, entered the store and began threatening employees and family members of those employees who were at the store. The men made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled the area on foot.

Sgt. John Pierre with the Othello Police Department said no one was injured and no shots were fired during the robbery.

Othello police are continuing to investigate the robbery. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the OPD at (509) 488-3314, or Pierre at (509) 989-1225.
