POLSON - The Vikings had a rough night in Polson. Rain poured down as the Pirates crushed Bigfork in a Northwest A Conference game. Colton Woods had a busy night for the Pirates, scoring a field goal, four PATs and a 35-yard touchdown run off an interception.

Bigfork's eight penalties and four fumbles cost them big tonight. Polson recovered three of the Viking's dropped balls, including two punts deep in the Vikes' territory. Bigfork did manage to score more first downs than the Pirates using a balanced running and passing game, and held them scoreless in the fourth but couldn't put points on the board.

The field conditions didn't help either team. Rain began pouring at noon and kept on the entire evening, creating a sloppy mess.

Polson moves to 2-0 in conference play and 4-1 overall. Bigfork is 0-2 in conference and 0-5 overall.
