The Montana Department of Transportation is alerting travelers to possible delays along U.S. 93 south of Pablo.

Beginning Monday, three more construction projects between Pablo and Arlee will ramp up, in addition to the two that are already under way.

Construction crews will begin hauling material to the work sites; minimal delays may occur as trucks cross the highway.

n Riverside Contracting of Missoula will begin work on three bridges south of Pablo, two at Mud Creek and one spanning Old Highway 93.

This two-phase project is expected to be completed next year. After the southbound bridge is finished this summer, traffic will be diverted from the present travel lane to the new lane so work can proceed on the northbound bridge.

n M.A. DeAtley Construction of Clarkston, Wash., will begin work on a 5-mile section from just south of Ravalli to Medicine Tree Road, south of St. Ignatius.

This project includes the construction of a scenic overlook on Ravalli Hill near the National Bison Range. The roadway will be widened to accommodate an

alternate passing lane; four wildlife crossings and wildlife fencing also will be installed.

n Schellinger Construction Co. of Columbia Falls is the general contractor for the third job, which runs from Medicine Tree Road north for 5.4 miles to Red Horn Road.

This section also features two lanes with an alternate passing lane. Ten wildlife crossings will be installed, along with a significant amount of wetland and riparian improvements.

n Work also is proceeding along a lengthy section of U.S. 93 between Ravalli and Arlee. A restriction is in place for loads longer than 14 feet.
