Vesta "Louise" Baney

Moses Lake resident Vesta "Louise" Baney, 77, died Aug. 22, 2006, at Summer Wood Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Moses Lake.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Moses Lake Church of Christ. Darius Morris will officiate.

Mrs. Baney was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Mountain Grove, Wright County, Mo., to Curtis and Jessie Low Gaddis. She graduated from high school in 1947. On June 2, 1947, she and Allen L. Baney married in Lewiston, Idaho. She was the main caregiver for her husband through the years and was also always willing to help anyone with a need. They moved to the Walla Walla area in 1980. The family moved to Moses Lake in 1993. Mr. Baney died Dec. 13, 1997. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Moses Lake Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Gary L. Baney of Strongsville, Ohio and Kevin W. Baney of Moses Lake; sister, Leila White of Bothell; brother, Leo Gaddis of Moses Lake; four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Moses Lake Church of Christ through Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt Cremations & Funeral Services, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
