Molly Weigum Goss, 97

Molly Weigum Goss, 97, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at Lakeview Care Center in Bigfork.

Molly was born in Rhine, N.D., on May 26, 1909, to Fredrich and Elizabeth Reimer Uhl.

She married Emanuel Weigum in Center, N.D., on May 7, 1929. They had five children, Leland 'Lee' Weigum, Delphine 'Del' Johnson, Eunice Olson, Carol Weigum and Archie Weigum. The family moved to the Kalispell area in November of 1936. Molly and Emanuel divorced in 1954; Emanuel passed away in 1969.

Molly moved to Moses Lake, Wash., where she resided for a couple of years, then to The Dalles., Ore, to live with her sister, Bertha. She met D.B. 'Bob' Goss, and they were married on June 3, 1965. She lived in The Dalles for 27 years. Her husband passed away on April 16, 1991, and Molly moved back to Kalispell later that year to be close to her family.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Carol in infancy, and Eunice Olson; her parents; two brothers; and eight sisters.

Molly is survived by her three children, Leland Weigum and his wife, Pat, Archie Weigum and his wife, Thelma, and Delphine Johnson, all of Kalispell; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and one special sister-in-law, Maybelle Uhl of Bellingham, Wash.

Molly loved to can fruits and vegetables from her garden, doing crossword puzzles and reading. She crocheted many afghans for her family.

Graveside urn burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Home Options Hospice of Kalispell, Trinity Lutheran Youth Center, 400 West California Street, Kalispell, MT., or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
