A 30-year-old Columbia Falls man died early Sunday after a one-vehicle rollover accident near Olney.

Authorities would not release his name or the names of two men injured with him Sunday, pending notification of his family.

He was a passenger in a pickup traveling south at 4:10 a.m. on U.S. 93 when the driver, a 28-year-old Kalispell man, swerved to miss a deer. The driver over-corrected, and the pickup spun 180 degrees and across the northbound lane into a ditch east of the highway, the Montana Highway Patrol said. The pickup rolled 1 1/2 times and partly ejected the Columbia Falls man through a passenger window.

Alcohol is being investigate as a potential factor in the accident, the patrol said. The truck's speed was unknown.

The driver and a 35-year-old Whitefish man were injured and taken to North Valley Hospital, the patrol and the Flathead County Sheriff's Office said.
