Mary Nelson passed away peacefully on Dec. 8, 2006.

She was born in Bemiji, Minn., on Jan. 30, 1919. Mary is survived by her son Ron and daughter-in-law Cathy of Cranbrook, Canada; grandson Pat of Ottawa, Canada; sisters Helena Garcia and Lucille Stagee and sister-in-law Jeanette Johnson of Minnesota; dear friends Steve and Danna Dal Porto of Quincy, and Dessa Dal Porto of Washington, DC; and many loving neices, nephews and friends.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Wilfred in 1998 and by four brothers and three sisters. Mary enjoyed life and filled her home with good times and excellent food. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Many thanks to Penny and Ed Weber and their staff at Lakeview Homecare, and Megan, for their excellent care of Mary.

A memorial service for Mary will be held on Friday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at the Warden Community Church, 201 West 3rd St., Warden. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Arrangements in care of Kayser's Chapel.
