Lois Ruth Bailey, 79, or known to everyone that knew her as "Gram," passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at the Life Care Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was born Sept. 19, 1927, in Kalispell to Clyde and Grace Yenne.

Lois lived in the Montana area for her childhood life and met her future husband, Wesley Bailey, while living in Kalispell. They were married in Kalispell in the late 1940s, and later would move to the Wallace, Idaho, area when Wesley took a job with the Asarco Group of Wallace.

She was homemaker and spent most of her later years watching over her grandchildren's dogs and cats before falling ill in October.

Lois would spend her evenings watching either the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Seattle Mariners or Seattle Seahawks, depending on the season and if there wasn't a game on that night, you could always find her busy at her kitchen table with a crossword puzzle or playing the occasional game of cards with family members.

Lois is survived by three sons, Bill Bailey and his wife, Pam, of Post Falls, Idaho, Denny Bailey and his wife, Kathy, of Wenatchee, Wash., and Gary Bailey and his wife, Annie, of Silverton, Idaho; two daughters, Nancy Elliott of Wallace, and JoAnn Bailey and Marvin Walker of Wallace; seven grandchildren, DeAnne Berry and her husband, Tom, of Castle Rock, Wash., Tom Bailey of Cut Bank, Angela Terzulli and her husband, Jeramie, of Lewiston, Idaho, Joey Elliott and his wife, Joan, of Sandpoint, Idaho, Jason Elliott of Wallace, Gretchen Bailey of Moscow, Idaho, and Eric Bailey of Silverton; four great-grandchildren, Erin and Conor Berry of Castle Rock, Kylee Bailey of Cut Bank, and Ella Terzulli of Lewiston; as well as two newborns due this spring; one brother, Bernard Yenne of Salem, Ore., and one cousin, Mildred Brenner of Kalispell.

Upon her request, no funeral services will be held locally. A small family gathering is planned for later this spring at the C.E. Conrad Cemetery in Kalispell.

Memorials may be made to Shoshone Pet Rescue or the American Lung Association on behalf of Lois.

English Funeral Services of Coeur d'Alene is in charge of arrangements
