David Ralph "Sam" Johnson, 60, passed away on Friday, Feb. 16, 2006, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Coffelt's Funeral Chapel, Sandpoint.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Coffelt's Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

Sam was born on July 1, 1945, in Richmond, Calif., the son of Ralph and Marie (Eichner) Johnson. He graduated from Deanza High School in 1963. Sam was drafted into the U.S. Army and served from 1963 to 1965. He returned to school and was a graduate from Chico State.

Sam was a successful business owner of California Rock and Asphalt, Inc. and Apollo Forwarders, Inc.

A beloved friend, husband and father of four. He loved all things American including fast cars and Harleys. He moved to Sandpoint from the Bay area in 2003. He was often heard saying, "women will tell me anything."

He leaves behind the love of his life Geana; his beloved brother and best friend, Frog; mother Marie; sister Tina; and his four adoring children, Aaron, Esther, Johnny and Joey.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
