Mariners split with Rangers

POLSON - The Mission Valley Mariners had to settle for a split Thursday in Class A American Legion baseball play.
The Kootenai Valley Rangers won the first game of a doubleheader 5-2 while the Mariners came back to take the second contest 7-3.
Mission Valley is now 21-5 in league games and 43-14 overall.
The Mariners wrap up regular season play this weekend, hosting Sanders County on Saturday at 1 p.m. and traveling to Deer Lodge on Sunday for a 1 p.m. outing.
The district tournament begins July 20 in Kalispell.
