Rosetta M. Goulet, of Kalispell, "returned to be with the Lord." She peacefully passed away in the comfort of her own home on Thursday, June 8, 2006, after a brief battle with cancer. She was 68 years old.
Rose was born on Feb. 19, 1938, in San Bernadino, Calif., to Margaret and Earl Jacobson. She was raised near Valier.
She married Darryl Goulet in September of 1961. They had two children, Steve and Lori. Rose was a very active member of St. Matthew's Church. She spent many years teaching children and volunteering for the church and hospital. She loved her flowers and gardening. She enjoyed camping and being on her dad's boat. She worked as a beautician at Immanuel Lutheran Home for 30 years. She also enjoyed traveling, seeing her grandchildren and playing games with them. She fulfilled a lifelong dream of going to Belgium to meet her mother's family. Rose will always be remembered for lending a helping hand and having a smile on her face.
Rose was preceded by her parents, Margaret and Earl Jacobson, and her sister, Delores Peterson.
She is survived by her husband, Darryl Goulet; two children, Lori Dolan and her husband, Shawn, and their children, Jacob and Bridger of Hayden, Idaho, and Steve Goulet and his wife, Angel, and their children, Haven, Christian and Brady of Portland; and also by her sister, Arlene Anderson of Choteau.
A Rosary service will be held 7 p.m. Monday evening at Johnson Mortuary. Funeral services will be 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at St. Matthew's Church, with graveside services at Glacier Memorial Gardens and a luncheon to follow.
