ROYAL CITY — Police are still seeking suspects in an armed robbery Thursday, in which three men made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from a Royal City clothing and electronics store.

Armed with handguns, the men entered the New Fashion store on the 100 block of Evergreen Street and demanded money from employees at gunpoint, according to Royal City Police Chief Darin Smith.

The store's owner and one employee were in the store at the time of the robbery at about 10:45 a.m. No one was injured in the incident, but Smith said the men got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Witnesses of the robbery informed police of the direction of travel of the vehicle, which was reportedly ditched about a mile outside of town off Highway 26 and behind a haystack. Smith said the suspects then fled in an unknown direction in a second vehicle, described as a rusty red mid-size car.

Smith said police are recovering evidence from the abandoned vehicle, and are seeking information on the suspects. Police are also seeking assistance from the FBI, Smith said, on the car registered out of Entiat.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males, 19-21 years of age, approximately 5-foot-5 and weighing about 140 pounds. Smith said the men were reportedly wearing bandanas, sunglasses and hooded sweatshirts.
