SANDPOINT — A Bonner County man was ordered held on $10,000 bail Monday for allegedly attacking two people with a knife at a party on Saturday.

Kyle Lyndon Silva is charged with two counts of aggravated battery.

A hearing to determine if Silva should be tried on the felony charges is set for March 15 in the magistrate division of 1st District Court.

Silva, 28, cut one man in the arm and another man in the neck and back, according to charging papers. Both alleged victims were treated at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, where they reportedly live.

A Bonner County Sheriff's deputy testified both victims were invited to the party and a fight erupted over a girlfriend. One of the victims apparently wielded a tire iron during the fight, hitting Silva in the legs. Silva sought treatment at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, court records said.

The location of the fight was not disclosed in court records.
