Local volunteers work to rebuild a church in Waveland, Miss., that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The group, which included Pastor Darwin Scofield of the Libby Baptist Church, Bob Dewald, Coby Bennett and Rick Morrow of Libby and Gordon Mott and Greg Belisle of West Kootenai, spent a week in Waveland earlier this month working on the church. Volunteers from all over the country helped on the project. Scofield said it was a chance to give something in return for the assistance volunteers from Mississippi and Louisiana provided in building Baptist churches in Libby, West Kootenai and Troy along with a camp at the Thompson Chain of Lakes.
