Nearly 250 people took part in the fifth annual cleanup day Saturday in Moses Lake. Spread out over 25 miles of road, volunteers filled approximately 400 garbage bags worth of trash on roadsides from Patton Boulevard to Interstate 90. In addition to volunteers collecting litter, water trucks spent the morning washing sidewalks downtown. Approximately 50 pounds of aluminum cans were collected to benefit the Moses Lake Cancer Foundation. Lakeside Disposal garbage crews later hauled away the trash to their Moses Lake facility. Following their cleanup, volunteers were treated to lunch catered by Michael's On The Lake. Vision 2020 organized the event with help from The Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce, Moses Lake Business Association and the Moses Lake-Othello Association of Realtors.
