Geri L. Crosswhite, 68, 'entered into eternal rest' Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Brendan House in Kalispell after a long, courageous battle with lupus and most recently cancer.

She was born July 19, 1937, in Whitefish to Chellis and Elaine (McCauley) Brown. Geri was the oldest of six children. She graduated from Whitefish High School in 1955.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, and a brother, Larry Brown.

Geri is survived by her three children, Dan Crosswhite and wife, Robin, of Kalispell, Debby St. Onge and husband, Bob, of Swan Lake, and Dave Crosswhite and wife, Jennifer, of Kalispell; one sister, Patti Mackie, and husband, George, of Spokane; three brothers, John Brown of Parker, Ariz., Dick Brown and wife, Betty, of Liberty, Mo., and Ron Brown and wife, Connie, of Snohomish, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Becky Crosswhite, Amanda Crosswhite, Billy Crosswhite, Jessica Crosswhite, Tristan Crosswhite, Taylor Crosswhite and Veronica St. Onge; a great-grandson, Kyle; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends.

At Geri's request, there will be no memorial service, but a celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 2, at the Pin and Cue (her favorite spot) on U.S. 93 in Whitefish.

The family suggests that donations be made to the following Spinal Muscular Atrophy organizations: SMA Support Inc., P.O. Box 6301, Kokomo, IN 46904; or FSMA, P.O. Box 196, Libertyville, IL 60048.

Johnson Mortuary and Crematory is caring for Geri's family.
