Sylvia Moran (Everett) Linstead, 92, died Oct. 30, 2006, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 29, 1913, in Kila to Mr. and Mrs. Seth Everett. She was raised in Kila, and attended Kila School and Flathead County High School. On Dec. 16, 1933, she married Floyd Linstead in Polson, and they were married for 44 years.

Through her life, she worked for Montgomery Ward, a shipyard in Oregon during the war, as a cook for logging camps, sawmill work, selling Christmas trees, road construction and at Drug Fair.

She was also a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed for her love, laughter, stories and cooking. She was famous for her homemade chicken soup, cookies, cakes and egg-in-the-hole, which she loved making for her grandkids.

She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, latch hook and sewing, but mostly loved being with family and friends.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; two sons, Neil and Mike; two granddaughters, Silver and Dawni; and her brothers, Raymond, Lyal and Seth Jr.

She is survived by a son, Rex Linstead Sr., and wife, Marlene, of Kalispell; grandchildren, RJ and Haydhi Linstead, Schad and Jackie Linstead, Tami and Tim Olson, Trina Linstead, Sundee, Susan and Randy Watson, Vickie and Jack Lucy, and Jeff, Sara and Michael Linstead; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Helen Everett.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home is caring for the family.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
