John (Jack) Parker, 91, went home to be with the Lord, joining his daughter Jackie in heaven on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 9:45 p.m.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Jack's family moved to Moses Lake in 1961 and owned Parker's Pet and Garden shop for nine years. While working for Moses Lake Parks and Recreation Department, he planted the first shrubs in McCosh Park. Jack also worked for U & I Sugar and Carnation Potato.

He was a member of Moses Lake First Baptist Church for 45 years and served as deacon.

Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lola, and children Louise (David) Peeples, Gary (Diane), Wayne, and Karen (Jim) Liebrecht, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

We will lovingly remember Jack's hearty laugh, bear hugs and love of God and His Word.

A memorial service will be at First Baptist Church, 4th and Gumwood, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12.
