Eunice V. Howard, 84

Eunice V. Howard, 84, passed away at Riverside Senior Living in Whitefish on Friday, Oct. 20, 2006.

Eunice was born March 5, 1922, in Kalispell, the daughter of Ed and Inez (Heald) McMahan. She attended Birch Grove grade school.

She married Robert W. Howard on June 18, 1939, at her parents' home on Trumble Creek Road in the Birch Grove Community.

Eunice worked as a custodian for Paulson Electric, Bitney's Furniture, and as a housekeeper for Will and Ethel Richards. She finished her working years doing custodial work at Glacier International Airport.

She was well-known for the wedding cakes she made and decorated. She was a lifelong member of the Birch Grove Willing Workers Club, and was a 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Eunice is survived by her husband, Robert, of Kalispell; son, Robert and wife, Faith, of Martin City; daughter, Marilyn Edwards, of Meridian, Idaho; grandchildren, Janielle Stephens and husband, Neal, and children Bryan and Kalyb, and Brett Howard and wife, Manda, of Everett, Wash., and children Malyssa, Bethany and Marcus.

Visitation for Eunice will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, with burial afterward at Glacier Memorial Gardens. A reception for Eunice will be after the burial at the Birch Grove Community Center.
