Boy, can he run.

Last Friday against the Ronan Chiefs, Josh Wilson rushed 272 yards and scored four touchdowns all before half time, helping the team cream Ronan, 45-15.

The Cats took hold of the game in the first five minutes when Wilson scored the first touchdown, on a 21 yard run.

Wilson's next rushing attempt also proved fruitful, when he took a toss from quarterback Michael Hader and ran down the right sideline, then cut back midfield to score on an 81-yard touchdown.

Steven Brennan added the extra point, bringing the score to 13-0 with nine minutes still on the clock in the first quarter.

It wasn't until the middle of the second quarter that the Chiefs got any ground when they scored a touchdown narrowing the score 13-7.

Wilson would go on to score two more touchdowns before the half, one from two yards out with just under four minutes on the clock and another just 22 seconds before the half from 21 yards out. The Cats were ahead 26-7 at the break.

Wilson got solid blocking from the offensive line.

After halftime the Chiefs doubled up on Wilson. Guarded heavily, he wasn't able to make as many plays.

Steve McNulty stepped up in the third and started off the second half with an 83 yard return.

The Cats led the third 33-15, after the Chiefs scored a touchdown from four yards out.

Quarterback Michael Hader locked down the lead in the fourth by throwing two touchdown passes to McNulty and Chase Fairbank.

Hader passed for 47 yards and was five of 13 throwing.

The Cats are now 1-0 in conference.

The Cats are away this Friday in Polson. The game is at 7 p.m.
