Kalispell Fire Department ambulances, Lakeside Quick Response Unit, Somers Fire Department, and Montana Highway Patrol responded to an accident Wednesday on U.S. 93 South near mile marker 108 just before 10 a.m. A car driven by a 79-year-old man with a 72-year-old passenger and a 76-year-old passenger was traveling southbound when it was rear-ended while trying to make a right turn into a body shop by an SUV driven by a 21-year-old woman. The three people in the car were transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for precautionary reasons. Neither alcohol or excessive speed were factors, according to the Montana Highway Patrol, which investigated the accident.

Whitefish Fire Department ambulances responded to a hang gliding accident near Eureka. The hang glider was transported first to North Valley Hospital and then to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Evergreen Fire Department and Martin City Fire Department responded to a fire on Teakettle Mountain.
