Muriel de Witt Lyons

Muriel de Witt Lyons, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away on Dec. 12, 2007, at the age of 94. She was born on Dec. 3, 1913, in Sarilda, Idaho to Basil Edmund Henry de Witt and Matilda Jane (Cherry) de Witt.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Caleb Lyons, daughter Muriel D. Bames (Gene), sons Robert Lyons (Claudia Sharp), Jesse David Lyons (Vickie Armstrong).

She is survived by Nancy Crapo of Parker, Idaho, Georgia Lorraine Jenkins (Richard) of Donnelly, Idaho, Jane Jorgensen (Van) of Moses Lake, Mark Edward Lyons of Shelly, Idaho, Ann Lyons of Hyrum, Utah and Martin Lyons of Moses Lake, 33 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Muriel's life will be held in the Nelson Road Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1849 E. Nelson Rd., Moses Lake, on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at 10 a.m. Graveside burial services will follow on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at 1 p.m. in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, Rigby, Idaho.
