MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake police arrested a man believed to be involved with numerous storage unit break-ins.
Michael L. Rapp, 38, Moses Lake, was contacted on West Broadway Avenue, Moses Lake Police Capt. Dave Ruffin said. Rapp allegedly fled on foot after providing false information.
The officer reportedly chased Rapp on foot. Moses Lake police, with the assistance from the Washington State Patrol, eventually caught Rapp.
Rapp was initially arrested for two warrants. One warrant stemmed from Adams County for driving with a suspended license in the third degree and another from Wenatchee concerning failure to appear in court for theft in the third degree and criminal trespass, Ruffin stated.
Police questioned Rapp about multiple storage unit burglaries.
Rapp was arrested for one count of burglary in the first degree and two counts of burglary in the second degree in addition to the warrants.
Police continue to investigate the storage unit burglaries, Ruffin said. The police department asks citizens with information to contact the police department at 509-766-9230.
