Hazel Virginia Hutchinson, 92

Hazel Virginia Hutchinson, 92, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Lake View Care Center in Bigfork. She was born March 9, 1914, in Philadelphia, the daughter of Clifton D. and Eleanor Virginia (Warren) Walton.

She was raised in the Chester Valley area west of Philadelphia. She attended schools in Downingtown, Pa., and graduated from Downingtown High School in 1931. She was an excellent athlete and excelled at basketball and tennis.

She was united in marriage to Henry P. Hutchinson on Oct. 19, 1935, at Westchester, Pa.

In January 1965, the family relocated to Kalispell and have enjoyed all that the Flathead Valley has to offer. She and Henry enjoyed their lives and enjoyed traveling to the Southwest and took many train trips back to the Philadelphia area to visit old friends and family.

Hazel was a member of the United Church of God in Kalispell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Henry P. Hutchinson, and son, Jan Kieth Hutchinson, both of Kalispell; and one nephew, John Houston, of Lititz, Pa.

Funeral services for Hazel will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Johnson Mortuary chapel with Elder Roc Corbett and Pastor Glen White officiating. Visitation will be just prior to the service Friday. Burial will be after services at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to the Humane Society of Northwest Montana, 3499 U.S. 93 N., Kalispell, MT 59901.

Johnson Mortuary and Crematory is caring for Hazel's family.
