Francis Alvin Keller, 79, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2007, at his home in Somers. He was born Sept. 9, 1927, in Kalispell, to Frank and Anna (Sullivan) Keller.

Francis never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was a man that appeared almost frail but whose slight frame held the largest heart to all those who knew him.

He lived on the farm with his wife, in Somers, for most of his life. He tended a large number of pigs at one time and in later years cattle. He also bred horses.

He was always in his element with anything mechanical or electrical. He would recall the time he worked on the Hungry Horse Dam and go into great detail on how it operated.

He truly enjoyed sitting at the round table at Streeter's in Bigfork and shooting the breeze with his friends. He was a longtime member of the Eagles in Kalispell.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; and wife, Betty Keller.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Neukirch and husband, Ray, of Kalispell; one sister, Dorothy Danford and husband, Neil, of Somers; and his life long friend, James Rom, also of Somers.

Visitation for Francis will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, at Johnson Mortuary. After cremation, Francis' remains will be placed with his wife at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
