James Michael Duncan, 41, passed away July 8, 2007, at his home in Curlew, Wash., after a courageous battle with cancer. He is greatly missed by family and friends.

A gathering to celebrate James' life will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 4 p.m., in Hope, Idaho.

James was born Sept. 27, 1965, at Oxnard, Calif. He moved to Sandpoint in the early '90s. He met Trish shortly after and in 1999, Stormy, now 8, was born. She was the joy of his life.

By trade, James was a finish carpenter and roofer. He loved working with wood. His favorite hobbies were fishing and camping.

He is survived by his loving companion and soulmate, Patricia Burrow; his daughter, Stormy Duncan, both of Washington; mother, Yvonne Fontaine of Sandpoint; a brother, David Nabors of Sandpoint; grandmother Hazel Fontaine, Sandpoint; aunt and uncle, Harold and Yvette Rainey of Sagle; uncle Jeane Fontaine of Sagle; a niece and nephew and numerous cousins.
