The Class AA All-State basketball teams were announced Thursday and Flathead High School's Brock Osweiler and Kendalyn Habel were included.

Habel won the honor as a junior and Osweiler is only a sophomore.

Habel, a 5-foot-7 wing, averaged 11.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game and hit 19 3-pointers. Her season high in points came on Jan. 4 against Missoula Sentinel with 24 points.

Osweiler, a 6-8 post, averaged a double-double with 17.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. He was AA's No. 3 scorer and No. 3 rebounder. Osweiler's season high in points came against Missoula Big Sky on Feb. 16, when he scored 30. He put in 27 points the next night against Missoula Sentinel in overtime.

The All-State teams comprised 13 boys and 10 girls.

Boys state champion Billings West had three boys named. Great Falls and Butte each had two boys named. Billings Skyview, Bozeman, Billings Senior, Missoula Sentinel, Helena Capital and Flathead each had one representative.

Of the 13 boys named, eight are seniors, four are juniors and Osweiler is the only underclassman. The juniors included West's Casey Rogers, Senior's A.J. Paine, Sentinel's Andy Garland and Butte's Cole Conway.

The girls state champion Bozeman had just one player named - junior Kirsten Tilleman. Great Falls C.M. Russell, the team that Flathead beat in the consolation game, was the only girls team with more than one player honored.

Of the 10 girls, only three were seniors. Four juniors, two sophomores (Big Sky's Joslyn Tinkle and Capital's Kelsi Brekke) and one freshman (Butte's Lexie Nelson) were named.

Other postseason honors won by Flathead hoopsters were junior point guard Meghan O'Connell, seniors Geoff Hogan and Luke Cutler and sophomore Emilee Hashley. They were all named to all-conference teams.

The Bravettes finished the season with an 18-7 record and climbed all the way from a loss in the first round of the state tournament to win the third-place trophy.

The Braves finished the season with a 14-10 record after losing in the state tournament's consolation semifinals.
