MOSES LAKE — Enough people gathered for the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce's annual golf tournament to give the chamber its best year yet.

So said Billy Brice, chamber golf committee chair, of the seventh annual tournament, which gathered Friday at the Moses Lake Golf Club.

"We had our greatest turnout ever," Brice said. "We had 30 teams, which is 120 golfers."

The tournament is a chamber fund-raiser.

Brice said Monday morning the amount of money raised by the event was still being calculated.

"We had a very exciting time, great prizes given away, great scores shot and it looked like everybody had a great time," he said. "We thank the sponsors deeply for all they've done. Thanks to them we had the most successful tournament ever.

Brice said the chamber hopes to have a full tournament next year, which would only require about six more people, he estimated.
