Rosella T. Bowman, 89, of Lewistown died unexpectedly of natural causes Monday, May 21, 2007, at her home in Lewistown. She was born May 27, 1917, in Albany, Minn., the daughter of Jacob and Barbara Lou (Berscheid) Kalla.

She received her education in Minnesota, and on Nov. 8, 1941, she was united in marriage to Robert C. Bowman in Crosby, Minn. In 1948, they moved to Montana.

They lived in Helena for many years where they raised their family. Later they moved to Lewistown, where they lived at the Eagles Manor.

Bob preceded Rosella in death Wednesday, May 16, 2007.

Rosella was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church of Lewistown.

She is survived by one son, Bruce, and Candy of Lewistown; one daughter, Barbara, and Gary Brandenburg of Billings; granddaughter, Kelly Schiffelbein; and four stepgrandchildren, Tracey and Trig Haugen, Ashley Eagleton and Jay Brandenburg Nau.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral Mass for Rosella T. Bowman will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, May 25, in the Cathedral of St. Helena; with burial afterward in the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison. A rosary service will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, in the Cloyd Chapel in Lewistown. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, in the Cloyd Chapel in Lewistown. Cremation will take place prior to the funeral Mass.

Cloyd Funeral Home of Lewistown and Retz Funeral Home of Helena are assisting the family with arrangements.

Friends are asked to make memorials to the Central Montana Home Health, Central Montana Ambulance, or the charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
