Basin teams place several players on all-star rosters

COLUMBIA BASIN - Moses Lake Christian's and Wilson Creek's volleyball teams were well represented on the North Central Washington 1B League's all-star rosters that were announced on Tuesday.

All-league volleyball, soccer teams

COLUMBIA BASIN - Moses Lake Christian's and Wilson Creek's volleyball teams were well represented on the North Central Washington 1B League's all-star rosters that were announced on Tuesday.

Moses Lake Christian placed three players on the all-league rosters, including the league's Most Valuable Player, junior Esther Timofeyev. Joining Timofeyev on the first team were seniors Ashley Cole and Heidi Sandberg.

Lions head coach Dean Spurbeck was named Coach of the Year after guiding his squad to the league title.

Wilson Creek had two players on the rosters - sophomore Ksenja Fredere made the first team and sophomore Jackie Treat made the second team.

The entire roster is listed below, followed by all-star rosters for other local volleyball and soccer leagues.

NCWL 1B volleyball

First team: Esther Timofeyev, Moses Lake Christian; Clara Hull, Pateros; Ksenja Fredere, Wilson Creek; Jamie Wilson, Entiat; Ashley Cole, Moses Lake Christian; Nichole Varrelman, Pateros; Heidi Sandberg, Moses Lake Christian.
