MOSES LAKE - A vehicle carrying three teenagers crashed near Moses Lake leaving one dead Friday night.

A 17-year-old Moses Lake female was traveling southbound on state Route 17, two miles north of Moses Lake in a 1998 Mazda, the Washington State Patrol reported. The 17-year-old was allegedly completing a pass of another vehicle when she lost control.

The vehicle reportedly left the roadway to the left, rolled and ejected 16-year-old Moses Lake female Marina S. Zuyeva, the patrol advised.

Zuyeva was transported to Samaritan Healthcare where she was pronounced dead. Her injuries are unknown.

According to the patrol, she was not wearing a seat belt.

The 17-year-old was transported to Samaritan Healthcare for a neck injury. She was wearing a seat belt.

A 16-year-old Moses Lake female was taken to Samaritan Healthcare for unspecified injuries. She was wearing a seat belt, the patrol advised.

According to the patrol, excessive speed caused the accident.

Citations have not been issued yet because the incident remains under investigation.

Drugs and alcohol were not involved in the accident.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
