Linda Ivers Trickey, 55, of Spokane, and formerly of Whitefish, passed away on Sept. 15, 2007, after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was at home surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death. She was born on Nov. 6, 1951, in Kalispell, to John and Vera Ivers. Linda was raised in Whitefish and attended schools there.

She married Jim Alefteras and they made their home in Centralia, Wash. They later divorced.

In order to find work to support herself and her daughter, Jina, she moved frequently, living at times in Montana, Utah and western Washington before settling in Spokane. Over the years, she held a variety of jobs and most recently worked in food services at St. Luke's Hospital.

Linda married John Trickey and is survived by him at the family home.

She treasured her family and friends. Her door was always open to anyone in need. She was a caregiver to many people and animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vera Ivers; and grandparents, Esther (Ambrogini) Hilliker, Virgilio Ambrogini, and Bernard and Anna Ivers.

Survivors include her husband, John Trickey; daughter, Jina Clark, and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Christopher, Cassandra and Cameron Alefteras, and Cheyenne Clark, all of Spokane; brother, Donald Ivers, and wife, Mariana, of Sacramento, Calif.; sister, Donna Jones, and husband, David, of Kalispell; and nephew and niece, Logan and Miranda Jones, both of Kalispell. Linda is also survived by John's daughter, Chrissy, and her children, of Osburn, Idaho.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services and urn placement will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Whitefish Cemetery. Following the services, a reception will be held at the Whitefish Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 600 West Seventh Street in Whitefish.
