MOSES LAKE - The community is coming together Sept. 29 for crafts and an auction to raise money for victims and survivors of breast cancer.
The Fourth Annual Stamp Out Breast Cancer Event is from 6 p.m. to midnight at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake.
The suggested donation is $20, said organizer Jan Przybylski, who helped found the event in 2004.
Przybylski stated $4,700 was raised for the Moses Lake Cancer Foundation in 2006.
"Each year, our donation total drastically increases. This year's theme is '$7,000 in 2007' and I'm confident that we'll meet our goal," Przybylski stated. "One of the most rewarding things I do is share my love of rubber stamping with others in a way that also does something positive for the entire community."
The increase in donations has allowed the event to benefit those in need beyond Moses Lake, she added. For the first year, funds are going to be distributed throughout Grant County.
"The number of craft tables has grown to fifteen and there are more silent auction items than ever before," Przybylski stated.
