Tournament raises money for Grant County EDC

MOSES LAKE - The Genie Industries team comprised of Glen Gere, Nick Womack, Jake Visker, and Spencer Happer shot a team score of 116 to win Flight 1, and the eighth annual Duel in the Desert Golf Tournament held at the Moses Lake Golf and Country Club.

The annual tournament is the primary fund raising event for the Grant County Economic Development Council.

The council helps local businesses in Grant County.

The Key Bank team of Matt Eisen, Jim Forest, Dale Walker and Kirk Jungers won the second flight of the 2008 Duel in the Desert Golf Tournament with a total round score of 120.

The Duel in the Desert golf tournament participants were divided into two flight groups based on team handicaps, said Moses Lake Golf and Country Club Director of Golf Mike Eslick.
