Delbert Leon Perry, 96, passed away in Moses Lake, Wash., on Aug. 21, 2008. He was a former resident of Bonners Ferry.

Delbert was born in Clarence, Mo., on May 1, 1912, to Ben and Minnie Perry.

He served in Germany and France during World War II.

He married Lillian West on Jan. 19, 1946, in Jefferson, Mo.

He is survived by a son, Ray, in Alabama; a sister, Ollie McAvoy-Staloch of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Robert of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Ben of Seattle, Wash.; a very special former daughter-in-law, Gail Johnson, who was his caregiver for many years; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; his parents, Ben and Minnie; and brothers, Alfred, Richard, Sanford and Gilbert.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the New Beginnings Christian Center, 318 W. Shore Drive, in Moses Lake.
