Wayne Lee Vadnais, 82, Moses Lake resident, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at his home.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.,Saturday, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. Brooks F. Beaulaurier as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake. Wayne was born April 12, 1926, to the late Stanley and Odessa (Glidden) Vadnais in Brainerd, Minn. At a young age he moved with his family to Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., where he was raised and educated, graduating from Wisconsin Rapids High School in 1944.

He married Glenore Funk on Jan. 6, 1950, in Antigo, Wis., and made their home in California until moving to Puyallup, Wash., in 1967. They moved to Moses Lake in 1984, where they have resided since. Wayne worked as a general contractor and a real estate broker most of his life. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Glenore; four children, Keith (Lorianne) Vadnais, Lynette (Paul) Davis, Ronald Vadnais and Daniel Vadnais; a brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Gloria Vadnais; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
